Strophe and AWS (EC2)
I have a simple HTML/Javascript strophe chat app on my machine. I also have an AWS EC2 instance. From this instance, I would like to be able to talk to the MUC room using strophe.
When I go to the page for the Amazon MUC service, it redirects me to an http version of the rooms. It looks like this:
How would I make it so that I could access the room via my EC2 instance, and how would I do that?
PS: I have full access to the server to install whatever software/ports I need to do this.

Happy Summer, everyone! In case you missed it, I’m on summer hiatus/vacation starting next week. Enjoy the weather!
Today, I’m doing a reworked post from a few years ago. It’s about one of my favorite things: burgers. Yes, burgers. Burgers are one of my favorite foods. I love making them, eating them, finding different recipes on Pinterest, and all that jazz. Of course, I don’t cook/bake/make much of anything at home, so naturally, I come here to seek out recipes/blogs/youtube videos related to burgers.
Under my premise, I got a question: “what burger with buns do you recommend for anyone who wants to have a fun, fresh, new burger?” So I took this impromptu stroll into the kitchen to put together a recipe that produced something that was perfect for folks who want to take their burgers a step further.
Bet you didn’t see that coming, huh? Keep reading to see what inspired me to create this recipe.
The inspiration to this post comes from the end of an episode of Restaurant Impossible (which I’m about to out, shame). In the episode, they had a crack at making a burger with fennel (I ended up turning to couscous, but shhh, no spoilers, a blogger’s duty is to spoil, you’re welcome). So, I thought: let’s do an ode to buns and buns on buns? That is, in honor of Restaurant Impossible, let’s do a salad-esque burger using a bun. Of course, to transform this grand idea into something more suited for the masses, I stumbled upon a few websites and cooks’ blogs, such as: Farmers Market, Summer Buns, and The Stuffer (IFBB pro, recipe title : Wide World of Buns).
The key ingredients for the salad-esque burger are; six ounces of ground beef, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and freshly ground black pepper – these are always staples in my kitchen. The other main component are two delicious takes on the bread. One is sweet corn, and the other is a few pickles. Unlike at the top of the post, when I announce these secondary ingredients, I’ll only list them once.

Season 3, Episode 3: Brain Wiping
Aven Colony: A New Dawn takes place roughly 2 weeks after the events of Season 1. The colony of Avenira has been improving remarkably, even though a few setbacks have been inevitable. In this episode, a new recruit finds out that the system where people can gain and lose their memories is used to record the past. As the mysterious system is torn down, people are forced to look back on their own past in a desperate search for answers that may be buried in the system’s core.

If you’d like to play on a different resolution, you can change it through the main menu. Currently, the game supports 720p and 1080p.
In the interest of full disclosure, I am one of the developers of the game. This episode is largely based on a game design by another developer. The reason that I am able to provide my personal approval for the episode is that I was involved in the process of reviewing it, and as the main game director, I can attest that the episode doesn’t break any of the content that I wrote. The episode also pulls heavily from another game’s design, which I was unable to review. This game is also partially based on a fan creation.

Gameplay Tips:
– The game was designed to be quite difficult on the first try. If you happen to beat the game and encounter a bug that causes you to lose all your resources, please email me with the subject “Crash in Aven Colony”, or send me a message on Steam.
– Some special moves (which don’t take any time to perform) can be used to deal huge amounts of damage.
– You have 3 lives, and it is possible to lose a life.
– The game has a wide variety of weapons, including light rifles, heavy rifles, cannons, heavy lasers, and bombs.
