Use the Shapes tool to draw a triangle on the left side of the picture.

9. After the polygonal lasso is wrapped around the shape, the Eraser tool should automatically be available on the bottom toolbar. Select it and click the area inside the shape, as shown in Figure 2-4.

10. Press the V key to make the rectangle transparent. The polygonal lasso remains around the shape.
11. Press the X key to close the shape.
12. Move the Shape tool and create another triangle on the left side of the picture (see Figure 2-5).

13. Select the shape using one of the methods described in the previous step.
14. Move the Eraser tool to remove the visible portion of the shape.
15. Apply any of the techniques detailed in the “Tweaking the image” and “Removing objects from the image” sections of this chapter to remove any visible components from the image.
